Protect your housing deals from disasters by using a real estate pro.

How much value can you get working with a real estate agent? And can they help you during emergencies or calamities? According to one recent study by Inman, 93% of sellers used a Realtor’s assistance to sell their home, while 85% of buyers chose to work with a buyer’s agent.

Evidently, this shows us that buyers and sellers see the value in working with a professional. More than showing you houses and handling your deals, it’s also our duty to protect you in times of calamities. The best example is the recent hurricane we experienced near our state and surrounding area.

We are thankful that none of our existing homes under contract experienced the devastating catastrophe of this calamity. However, it makes you think: what if you’re a seller or a buyer suddenly finding yourself in the middle of this situation?

For sellers. Things can happen to a property while under contract. That’s why our guidance is important. Many factors can throw a wrench into closing a transaction, and we want to be there to give you peace of mind and ensure that your transactions can still reach the closing table.

For buyers. Preparing for emergencies is as important. For example, if a hurricane coincides with your escrow deposit date, how do you communicate between the listing agent and the buyer’s agent? You want to discuss this with your Realtor, especially if a house is in a disaster-prone area.

“85% of buyers used a buyer’s agent in their transactions last year.”

Importance of insurance. If you’re a buyer, as soon as you’re under contract, you should get your insurance because there can be restrictions for insurance companies to provide you with a policy if there is a named storm within a certain distance. It’s best to act quickly to ensure you have the necessary coverage.

We know that our clients depend on us, and we take that seriously. We don’t take time off during these events; we are available to answer your call and are open to having these conversations. Again, 85% of buyers used a buyer’s agent in their transactions last year.

Showing you a property is just one aspect of our job as your agent. Understanding the market, analyzing a property, handling the inspection period, and protecting your transactions are all part of our duty.

Above all else, we serve our sellers and buyers as efficiently as possible throughout the process. By efficiency, we mean we will not waste your time. Our goal is to show you properties that make sense for you. As much as possible, narrow down your options to what you really want and need. If there’s something not on the market, we have access to off-market properties, too.
